How to Check the PM-KISAN Beneficiary List by Village

Last checked: July 2026

PM-KISAN e-KYC is an identity-verification requirement for registered farmers. If it is incomplete or unsuccessful, it can affect access to scheme services and may delay payment processing.

The official PM-KISAN portal says that e-KYC is mandatory. Farmers may be able to complete OTP-based e-KYC on the portal, while biometric e-KYC may be available through a nearby Common Service Center (CSC).

Important: Use only the official PM-KISAN portal or an authorized CSC. Never share an OTP, Aadhaar number, bank password, ATM PIN or UPI PIN with someone who contacts you by phone, WhatsApp or social media.

How can I complete PM-KISAN e-KYC?

You can usually complete PM-KISAN e-KYC either through OTP verification on the official PM-KISAN portal or through biometric verification at a nearby CSC.

For OTP verification, your Aadhaar-linked mobile number must be active. If OTP verification does not work, visit an authorized CSC rather than paying a private agent.

Why PM-KISAN e-KYC matters

e-KYC helps the scheme verify beneficiary identity. It is not the same as confirming every part of your eligibility. A farmer may complete e-KYC and still require land record verification or other checks under the scheme.

That is why it is useful to check both:

  • your e-KYC status; and
  • your PM-KISAN beneficiary and payment status.

How to Check PM-KISAN Beneficiary Status Online

Method 1: Complete e-KYC online through the PM-KISAN portal

The official PM-KISAN portal provides an e-KYC service. The exact screens can change, but the basic process is generally as follows.

Step 1: Open the official PM-KISAN website

Go directly to the official PM-KISAN website. Check that the website address ends in pmkisan.gov.in.

Do not use a link sent by an unknown person. Fraudsters may create pages that look official but are designed to collect Aadhaar details or OTPs.

Step 2: Select the e-KYC option

Choose the e-KYC option shown on the official portal.

Enter your Aadhaar number only on the official government page. Check the page address once more before continuing.

Step 3: Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

The system may send an OTP to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Enter the OTP only on the official PM-KISAN page.

An OTP is private. A government official, bank employee, CSC operator, or family member does not need to know your OTP after you have received it.

Step 4: Check the confirmation message

After submitting the OTP, read the confirmation message carefully. If the system confirms successful e-KYC, take a screenshot for your own records if you wish.

Then check your beneficiary status after some time to see whether the e-KYC field is updated.

Method 2: Complete biometric e-KYC at a Common Service Center

If you cannot complete OTP-based e-KYC online, the PM-KISAN portal says that farmers may contact a nearby CSC for biometric-based e-KYC.

This can be useful if:

  • your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is not active;
  • you are not receiving the OTP;
  • the online process repeatedly fails;
  • you are unable to use the portal yourself.

Before visiting, carry only the documents the authorized center officially requests. Ask the operator to explain any fee before proceeding, and request a receipt or acknowledgment where applicable.

Do not hand over original documents unless an authorized official procedure requires it. Do not allow anyone to take photographs of your Aadhaar or other documents for unrelated purposes.

How to check whether PM-KISAN e-KYC is complete

The official Know Your Status service includes a financial-year-wise e-KYC field.

To check it:

  1. Open the official PM-KISAN Know Your Status page.
  2. Enter your registration number and captcha.
  3. Verify using the OTP sent to your e-KYC-registered mobile number.
  4. Review the e-KYC information shown in the status details.

If you do not know your registration number, use the official Know Your Registration Number service.

Common PM-KISAN e-KYC problems and what to do

I am not receiving the OTP

First, check whether the mobile number linked to Aadhaar is active and can receive SMS messages.

If the number is no longer in use, do not try to use another person’s number. Ask through an authorized Aadhaar or PM-KISAN support channel about the correct update process, or use biometric e-KYC through a CSC if appropriate.

The OTP is correct, but the portal shows an error

This can happen due to temporary portal traffic, a technical issue, an Aadhaar data mismatch, or a connection issue.

Try again later using a stable internet connection. If the problem persists, contact an authorized CSC or the official PM-KISAN help channel.

My name does not match Aadhaar

Name differences can create problems in government databases. Check whether your PM-KISAN record and Aadhaar record show the same name format.

The PM-KISAN portal includes a name-correction service as per Aadhaar. Do not attempt to make changes through an unofficial website.

I completed e-KYC, but my installment has not arrived yet.

e-KYC completion does not automatically resolve every payment issue. Your bank account, Aadhaar-bank linkage, land verification, eligibility status or payment processing may still need attention.

A person says they can complete e-KYC for a fee through WhatsApp

Do not send Aadhaar details, OTPs or money to that person. Use only the official portal or an authorized CSC. A message claiming that your benefit will be stopped unless you immediately share an OTP is a warning sign.

What to do after completing e-KYC

After successful e-KYC:

  1. Check your PM-KISAN beneficiary status.
  2. Confirm that the e-KYC field is shown as complete.
  3. Review bank and payment information.
  4. Keep your mobile number and relevant records up to date through official channels.
  5. Contact the local agriculture office if land verification or eligibility remains pending.
