You can check your PM-KISAN beneficiary status through the official PM-KISAN portal. The status service can help you see whether your details are available in the system, whether e-KYC is complete, and whether a payment has been processed or credited.
To use the service, you will generally need your PM-KISAN registration number, a captcha code and an OTP sent to the mobile number registered for e-KYC.
Important: Use only the official PM-KISAN portal. Do not enter Aadhaar details, bank details or OTPs on links received through WhatsApp, SMS or unknown websites.
Read our PM-KISAN Eligibility 2026 guide before assuming that you qualify for the scheme.
What you need before checking your status
Keep these details ready:
- your PM-KISAN registration number
- access to the mobile number registered for e-KYC
- internet access
- the captcha code shown on the official page
If you do not know your registration number, the official portal provides a “Know Your Registration Number” service. It allows you to search using your mobile number or Aadhaar number.
Do not share your registration number, Aadhaar number or OTP with anyone who offers to check your status for a fee.
Step-by-step: how to check PM-KISAN beneficiary status
Step 1: Open the official PM-KISAN portal
Go to the official PM-KISAN website and select the “Know Your Status” option.
Check the website address carefully before entering any information. Official government pages normally use the pmkisan.gov.in domain.
Step 2: Enter your PM-KISAN registration number
Enter the registration number exactly as shown in your PM-KISAN record.
If you cannot find it, use the official “Know Your Registration Number” service. The portal may ask you to search using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number.
Step 3: Enter the captcha code
Type the captcha code displayed on the page. If the image is unclear, use the refresh option, if available, rather than repeatedly guessing.
Step 4: Request the OTP
Select the option to receive an OTP. The OTP is sent to the mobile number registered for e-KYC.
If you no longer use that number, do not ask another person to receive or forward the OTP. Use the official update process or seek assistance through an authorized channel.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and view your details
After entering the OTP, review the information shown on the status page.
The page may display account and payment-related information, including:
- payment status
- bank name
- UTR number
- payment mode
- whether the account was credited
- date of credit
- e-KYC status for the relevant financial year
Take a screenshot only for your own record. Do not post it publicly, because it may contain personal or financial details.
What your PM-KISAN status can tell you
The status page is useful because it helps you distinguish among several situations.
Payment credited
If the status shows that payment was credited, check your bank statement or mobile-banking record. If you still cannot see the money, contact your bank and provide the transaction reference, if available.
Payment processed but not credited
If a payment appears to have been processed but has not reached your account, first contact your bank. Ask whether the account is active and whether it can receive government benefit transfers.
You may also need to ask the bank about Aadhaar seeding or payment-routing issues.

e-KYC pending or incomplete
If e-KYC is incomplete, follow the official e-KYC process. PM-KISAN states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers.
Do not use a private agent who asks for an OTP, Aadhaar copy or payment to complete e-KYC.

Bank details need attention
If the status suggests a bank-related issue, contact your bank directly. Confirm that the account is active and that the bank has the correct details for receiving Direct Benefit Transfer payments.
Eligibility or verification issue
If your status indicates that verification is pending or that you may not be eligible, review the PM-KISAN eligibility rules and contact the local agriculture office if necessary.

How to find your PM-KISAN registration number
If you have lost or forgotten your registration number, use the official Know Your Registration Number option on the PM-KISAN portal.
The service provides search options using:
- mobile number
- Aadhaar number
Use only your own details. Never enter another person’s Aadhaar or mobile number without permission.
After you recover the registration number, return to the Know Your Status page and complete the status-check process.
What does the UTR number mean?
A UTR number is a transaction reference that may be displayed when a payment has been processed.
If your PM-KISAN status shows a UTR number but you have not received the money, note the number and contact your bank. The bank may be able to trace whether the transfer was received, rejected or returned.
A UTR number does not by itself guarantee that money has been credited successfully. Always check the “Account Credited” field and your bank account.
What if you cannot receive the OTP?
The official status service sends the OTP to the mobile number registered for e-KYC. If you cannot access that number, do not try to use another person’s number or pay someone to bypass the process.
Instead, use the official PM-KISAN update process or seek assistance from an authorized Common Service Center, the local agriculture office or the official help channel.
Keep your identity and banking information private throughout the process.
What if your details are incorrect?
If your name, address, bank details, or other information appears to be incorrect, use the official PM-KISAN correction or update process. The PM-KISAN portal includes services such as mobile number updates and Aadhaar-based name corrections.
For land-related or eligibility-related issues, the local agriculture office may need to verify supporting records.
Keep copies of any acknowledgment, application number, or grievance reference.
What if your status does not appear at all?
If you cannot find your record, first confirm that you are using the correct registration number. Then try the official registration-number lookup service.
If the record still cannot be found, the issue may relate to registration, verification, eligibility or data correction. Contact the appropriate official channel rather than relying on a private website or social-media advice.
